On Shavuot, we celebrate the abundance of Israel’s agricultural produce. But because of the rising cost of living, thousands of people cannot afford fresh fruit and vegetables and rely on us to help fill their tables.
Even on Shavuot, Leket Israel, the National Food Bank, continues its work, delivering fresh, rescued produce to hundreds of thousands of Israelis in need. “The support from Leket Israel gives me room to breathe. I receive boxes full of excellent fruit and vegetables that I simply cannot afford to buy myself,” says Iris, who receives assistance every week.
